Thanks for playing along! Great article! You are so right… it does become easy to tell if a person is more of an optimist or pessimist by their language. Particularly, what they say when they experience setbacks.

Pessismists view setbacks as permanent, generalize to their whole life, and blame themselves. Optimists see setbacks as temporary, specific to the immediate situation, and due to external causes.
