He collects Snoopy memorabilia. He loves Homer Simpson. He’s building a model railroad layout in the basement. He won our fantasy football league last year and is the most valuable trash talker. And as the photo from our recent Adultitis Clinic attests, he still likes sugar and is not opposed to getting his face painted or wearing pirate hats. (Oh yeah, and the mustache is fake.) […]

The beady eyes of that little sugar glider bring back memories. My brother-in-law had one of those for a while. He carried it everywhere like it was his baby, even to the supper table (can we say YUCKY!). He even slept with the thing! You never knew where it would show up. You might be innocently sitting on the sofa and it would creep out from behind a cushion. Talk about being creeped out! One day it got outside and well…something must have thought that sugah glida looked like a real sweet treat. Can’t say I miss it.

The face paint reminds me of a time after Ash Wednesday, where a friend and I decided to go out to eat after getting our ashes. We didn’t wipe them off and to our great surprise at least half the restaurant had people with ashes on their foreheads! It was great!

My husband has had terrible poison oak/ivy this summer. He has tried everything possible, until a friend suggested he tried a product that is used for cuts that colors the skin purple, and I mean PURPLE!! SO, yes it works and he colored all his places purple splotches, and oh boy, has he been getting reactions! His students think it’s so cool, some of the adultitis crowd snub us, but we just laugh… A little paint job does the spirit good!!
