Yeah, I made that phrase up. But if you like it, I may have to start using it more :)

I often “eat dessert first” at home , but never thought of ordering at a restaurant – thanks for the great idea! Chili’s, here I come! If nothing else, I’ll actually have room for it in my tummy, and since I always take have my meal home anyway…. yep, great idea!

2. “it scared the marshmallows out of me” – I never heard this expression. I like it!

Definitely give that a try and let us know how it goes. P.S. Rovking seems like fun, too.

Kent — what a rebel you are. Congrats for being able to recognize those sill rules for what they were…namely, silly.

She did not want me “working through lunch”. Obviously very good anti-adultitis advice on the surface, but working late to get your work done was okay. The same manager also told me she was concerned that my office door was closed at 4 PM (which is when I went home) as it made a bad impression since other managers were there until 5 PM (or so she thought). Yet we had a flex work schedule that said finishing at 4PM was fine.

In most cases when I ate at my desk I was doing things like reading blogs like this one! So I pretty much ignored all of these rules that really did not existand followed the real rule – do your best, get your work done right and on time (and have fun doing it).

Getting what you want for a day is a great way to spoil the kids and even ourselves, just a little! I’m going to put that one in my back pocket for a day to be named later…. it’ll be a great surprise to each of the kids on the day I deem it!

I keep forgetting to do the PJ’s/ice cream parlor treat too… gotta do that one this summer!

They are all so AMAZINGLY simple, sweet, honestly tart, and fantabulously hillarious. They keep their wits about them and don’t ever let a question go unasked. Really, I get along SO much better with children than with adults. They just make more sense! And they don’t charge you for it. :)
