Yep, if a baby can move to action and change the world (albeit probably not intentionally), what excuse do we have for sitting idly by?

I think a lot of people out there are waiting for everyone else to start changing the world for the better (I get lazy about this, too). But your post reminds me that it all starts with each of us.

Oh when you’re smilin’….keep on smilin’
The whole world smiles with you
Ah when you’re laughin’….keep on laughin’
The sun comes shinin’ through

Considering the number of folks who have covered it over the years – from Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland to Micheal Buble and Rufus Wainwright – I think it’s further proof this solution is a great one!

Thanks for the reminder that those of us over three feet tall can make people happy just as easily!

It made my day.

Debbie, cool idea! Did you ever manage to “crack” that miserable worker?

I started this because there was some construction going on on a route that I took every day. There was one particular sign holder who appeared miserable. She was always nasty and acted like she hated her job. So I decided to smile and greet her. I have been doing it every since (for years). I very rarely pass a construction zone without waving and smiling. I helps me “tolerate” the construction. It’s amazing the reponses that I get : )
