You should check it out sometime. :-)

I was recently in the musical “Oliver!”, and after the shows we came out to mingle with the audience (especially so we could see our friends that came to see the show). After one of the shows, a couple strangers came up to me and asked for my autograph. That was the first time that’s happened. It made me feel all important. :-)

Ah, those Braves teams sure were fun to watch. I sure wish my Cubbies could put together a run like that.

I also wish more people were as involved and informed as you when it comes to our civic responsibilities. Too often we abdicate our responsibilities and leave everything up to our elected officials (and we see how well that turns out.) Too many people forget that this government was meant to be of the people, by the people, and for the people.

I hope to get a matching one from my current senator in 2009/2010. It’s significance is that it shows that the citizens can shape policy and encourages me to participate in the process. It also reminds me that elections have consequences and forces me to learn about each candidate I vote for.

I also have a 1995 baseball signed by most of the Atlanta Braves, the year they went to the world series. The big names are legible. My favorite signature is Bob Cox; you never hear him called Bob by the announcers, but rather Bobby.
