I totally agree with this! It is a constant struggle to remind myself to say no more often. I feel like I do a pretty good job at it, but it is definitely not easy. I sometimes get crap from friends from not attending as many gatherings or guilt for not showing up to a volunteer event, but I have to continue to remind myself that it’s for the better.

In the end I end up doing things I actually really WANT to do and try and stay away from anything I feel like I HAVE to do, but am not really into it. It sounds selfish sometimes, especially to others, but I know if I want to be happy and adultitis-free it is a must.

Good advice indeed! :)

I know I should do it, but I decided I needed to NOT do it. This post reaffirmed that I did the right thing. Thank you thank you thank you again… for the clarity…. You are the best!
