Thanks Dawn. It’s one of my favorites, too!

Absolutely, Marci. Always neat to hear how God can use even a little old blog post to speak to someone :)

Yes, it is certainly a challenging word to have selected…

So true. Thanks for the reminder! Too often I get so caught up in life that I forget that God is right there waiting for me to let Him guide me on the next step of my adventure that seems to be so long in coming. This article reminds me of the verse that says “You do not have because you do not ask.”

How many blessings and adventures do we forego just because we forgot to pray about it?

In my life, I have been using the one about building a deep and strong foundation for a skyscraper, that you have to build a very strong base to support the height and beauty of a tall skyscraper, because the higher it is, the more exposed it is to the weather. Without a good deep base, as soon as a strong wind comes along it will topple.

Your blog really spoke to me today. I, too, know that God wants me to go deeper on my journey with Him. I’m on a journey of healing, self-discovery and self-acceptance – He’s given me great equipment – amazing people who love and support me, a wise counselor who also knows Him, a wonderful Spiritual Director and most of all, a lot of GRACE! Thanks for reminding me that we need to take things one step at a time – I know He will continue to give me the proper equipment and training, so I can go deeper and be safe!

And thanks for the inspiring metaphor!
