I am surely the minimalist mentioned at 3:20, but even being so when we sold our house in Madison searching for greener grass we got rid of almost everything. It was pretty tough, but so worth it… so freeing and so empowering. Furthermore we generally go through things every few months and get rid of / sell anything that just seems to be taking up space. Good LUCK!

I can’t wait to share it with my friends and the parents at my child care center!

I don’t think I could go to 2 backpacks worth of stuff, but to get rid of clutter and things that are just sitting around my house creating stress for me is a goal for my summer. I’m the PTA president at my girls’ school and also a Brownie Troop leader, so I’m busy and barely have time to clean my house. This summer, I am focusing on clearing my house of the things that weigh on my mind the moment I walk in the door. I want our house to be a refuge for our minds, bodies, and souls. And I want my kids to be able to find socks in the morning. LOL

Will you be blogging about your journey to getting rid of half of your possessions? Do you have a goal, like 1 or 2 bags a week? I have tried to schedule a donation pickup every week and so helps me stay on task because I have a deadline of when to have at least one bag of things to give away. It’s so liberating to put those bags out in the morning and to come home later so them gone!
