There were 3 rules – no guys, no gifts, no girdles! My birthday is in the fall and my husband, 2 sons and son-in-law farm, so I knew there would be grumbling about a party during harvest. And my husband doesn’t like to dance, so I decided it would be an all girl party. We had a Jimmy Buffet theme – food, decorations & live band! I had about 140 girls – ages from 9 weeks to 94 years young! It was the time of my life:)

There is a bicycle group in town that gathers at a parking lot and takes a random ride through town. They ride through alleys, streets, parking lots, and driveways.
Each ride has a theme, so all riders dress up and bring accessories for the theme; wet ride ( squirt guns), noisy ride (noise makers), tweed ride (tweed coats and mustaches), super hero ride, etc. They have a great time, and so do the spectators. Between the costumes and the hooting and hollering, it is a joy for all.
