I read aloud the first three Harry Potter books to Jacob at bedtime. Some of my favorite memories. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, book four, at over 700 pages, was where I drew the line. I was not reading that out loud! And at 13, Jacob was ready to read it on his own. He’s still a voracious reader of fantasy. His brother, like you, more of a non-fiction guy (although that’s rather rare…..).
