I was always disturbed by the “suffer” for your art dialog or that somehow all the meaningful art came from tortured souls. I, too, wanted to make people smile. So I combined it with pastry and became a sugar artist. A lot of people might not call a cake or a cookie or other sweet treat “real” art but it doesn’t matter to me because it makes people happy. No suffering, no torture, just beautiful, edible, temporary pieces of art. Keep putting joy out there!
