We are all about helping grown-ups of all ages to escape adulthood, but we are über passionate about making a difference in the lives of children as well. A good childhood is a precious thing, something every person deserves, but sadly, not everyone receives. Childhood is threatened every day by things like poverty, disease, and abuse.
We want kids growing up today to have wonderful childhoods to look back on tomorrow. We’re passionate about make sure that the awesome, magical, happy kind of childhood we champion is never lost. That’s why we pledge 3% of all gross merchandise sales to organizations that help meet the needs and improve the lives of children. Your support of Escape Adulthood is helping to save childhood for kids all over the world!
The Big 6
These are our favorite charities we support that address a wide variety of the dangers that threaten childhood…
What Make-A-Wish does is extraordinary, because it helps make kids’ dreams come true. They help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. We’re been blessed with the opportunity to be “wish granters” for many years, and it has been one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever done.
We have supported the
National Adoption Center because we think every kid should have a home, and someone who loves them. The NAC expands opportunities for children throughout the United States, particularly those with special needs and those from minority cultures.
We think child abuse is one of the worst evils in our society, which is why we admire what Childhelp USA is doing. They strive to meet the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of abused and neglected children. They focus their efforts in the areas of treatment, prevention, and research.
CareNet is an astounding program that helps young pregnant women facing difficult decisions and provides opportunities for them to make a better life for themselves and their children. It supports a network of over 1,100 pregnancy centers that offer hope to women facing unplanned pregnancies by providing practical help and emotional support.
We love what St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital does, and support their research, because it doesn’t seem right that there are kids that have to spend their childhoods going through chemotherapy. St. Jude’s works every day to find cures for children with catastrophic illnesses through research and treatment.
We sponsored a little boy in Ethiopia and now a girl in central America through Compassion International because we think it stinks that kids have to think about where their next meal will come from. Compassion advocates for children, to release them from their spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.
