This is one of my favorite pictures! My husband and I have a band and for the last 6 years we have played at a local 40 acre campground for their annual blast and it is one of our favorite places to gig. This is a night pic of last years set up at the show. Peaceful, yet ready for barefoot excitement for Jagged Highway. That’s my show n tell. Have an awesome day! I am excited to take part in escaping adulthood :)

Oh man…love live music! I want to be there. Right. Now.
What an amazing annual adventure to share with your husband! Gives me chills!
This is me, in front of a Pronto Pup stand, at the Minnesota State Fair. It is one of the biggest state fairs in the country. I am also wearing a cape, because my daughter didn’t want to wear it. And it’s a cape!! And there is way too much fried food to indulge in. And animals to pet. And people to watch.
Attached image:
It’s Super State Fair Girl! :) State Fairs are the BEST!!! I wonder what your favorite fried food is?
Way fun! Awesome t-shirt too!
I love the MN state fair!!! Now I’m hungry for deep fried pickles!
I LOVE the cape!
I pulled out my trusty red cape at Halloween. You can never go wrong with a cape!
This is me at the beach down the road from my home … after the first snowfall :)
I love snow! And penguins!! I love wearing my penguin hat in the snow!!!
I love living in Madison. You can just make out the capitol across the lake.
Attached image:
One of the best views in town, for sure!!!! Three words: Polar Bear Plunge! :)
I love your penguin hat! It’s cute! : )
I love penguins, too! LOVING your hat!!
You are cute!!!
This is a picture of me getting ready to feed the goats at the Fort Wayne Zoo. There are lots of animals, exhibits, and rides that make it a fun place to go, but the petting zoo will always be my favorite part. One at a time, goats!
Attached image:
Yes, goats are eager little buggers!
Petting zoos are the best!! :)
I’m preparing my Show and Tell, but can I just give a shout out to my Buckeyes!!! O-H!
Yes, go for it!! :) Looking forward to your Show and Tell!
This is one of my favorite show and tells from my home office in DeKalb, IL. It is an antique letter box and when I travel for work or vacation I will look for small items that represent something from that trip. Think of it like a charm bracelet for the wall. It contains things like: my parents class rings, a small sample of my mom’s ashes, sea glass from both coastal areas, and even a piece of art from my friend Jason to remember how cool it is when smart people gather for fun and conversation.
Attached image:
This is the coolest. I LOVE that each little item is so meaningful. What a creative and fun way to display memories. Sweet!
Yes, super cool! I just LOVE the idea of a “charm bracelet for a wall…
That’s a neat idea!
Love that!!
I love this collection and display, very creative!
I love this idea!! I collect Christmas ornaments from my travels. It is fun to remember the fun when we decorate the tree each year. I like the idea if being able to see it all the time, though!
This is a cool idea! Always fun to remeber your travels and adventures!
My lifelong dream since I was about 4 years old was to drive an open wheel Indy racecar. My husband made my dream come true in December 2010 and I got behind the wheel up to 110 mph! To say the experience changed my life is an understatement. I never felt more powerful, more accomplished in my entire life. Since the, I followed that experience with a NASCAR as well as other “20 seconds of bravery” memories. What is something you’ve always wanted to accomplish? What would it really take to get you there? You’d be surprised how easy something is to achieve once you present it to the universe.
Attached image:
Just the coolest.
There are certain “bucket list” items that don’t seems as possible… your example shows that “anything is possible.” These treasured memories will surpass your lifespan. I know your girls will be telling stories about how their mom drove race cars! Maybe for your 80th birthday! ;)
Yes! One of my bucket list items is to stand in the Oval Office of the White House, and 9/11 has made that dream less attainable, but I am holding on to the dream!
Just too cool!!
I love this collection and display, very creative! !
I am all about the kiddos! My school has become my second family. Over the last 30 years I have accumulated more memories than anything else. I’m fortunate to have all of my grandchildren in the area so every day is special and they help me with adultitis! Looking forward to the coming new year and having fun with this group!
Attached image:
If Cute and Adorable had a baby, it would would look like this picture.
My heart is melting – so precious! So glad you’re a part of this fun adventure!
Can’t get enough of that picture!
This is me in my back yard, central Wisconsin. I fret about how to clean up all those leaves and then I remember how pretty they are. :) So I them stay until spring.
Attached image:
Ah, I miss those days already…
Your picture ignites my 5 senses, big time. I can hear the cracking leaves, smell and taste the autumn air, feel the chill on my cheeks and of course, see the colors that are unmatched. What a beautiful place to live!
Love the perspective!
Ah, I would rather see this than the white stuff….
I am so excited for the recent PIN map given to me by the amazing staff that I work with!! It is something that I have wanted because after almost ten years of no vacation, I knew it was time to change that and in 2011, made a commitment that as a family (my husband & 4 kids) we would find places to travel and go. Some may be short distances, some may be far…it’s not pinned on and my wall yet as I just received it but I am so excited to see where life takes us on our next adventure! Around our state of Wisconsin we have taken several short ventures and each summer try to go out of state…life is to short not to experience and learn about other places!! This is a FUN goal to experience our country!
Attached image:
Awesome! Wishing you many pins in 2015!
Each little pin tells a big story! Woo hop! What a wonderful gift for your family to share!
You go!!!
This is my husband Ed and I enjoying a comped ride (from one of my preschool student families) on the new High Roller in Las Vegas. We actually live in Henderson but work at an arts integrated preschool in Las Vegas. The second picture is with my co worker of 9 years. (We work so well together, she reads my mind! ) Ed and I are recent empty nesters so when not working we prefer traveling visiting our 12 children and 20 grandchildren! [Third picture]
Attached image:
My objective in joining is finding joy in the journey by escaping adultitis… whooo hooo Looking forward to the ride!
I’m looking forward to the ride as well! Oh what fun it is to ride …
“Joy in the journey” …. YES! Let’s do this!! :)
Thanks for sharing, JoAnn! My favorite thing in Vegas is the Bellagio fountains :)
Hi JoAnn! Great pics! Your 2nd pic brings back memories (I’m a former kindergarten teacher). I really love your third pic – road trips with those you love, to visit those you love = the best!!
Here are a couple photos from inside my house. The first room is the Reflections Room (can you find the pictures of me in this photo?). The mirror mosaic above the fireplace was created by my sister, with my niece’s help. My sister (the best sister in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD) is my interior design consultant and, more importantly, best friend. She gave me 50 gifts (one for each day 50 days before I turned 50). The bathroom displays a lot of the gifts she gave me. She says that I live life like it’s all about me. With a sister who showers me with so many gifts and so much love, how could I not believe it’s all about me! (smile)
Attached image:
Obviously, the photos are reversed from my comment, but you all probably figured that out already! (smile)
Awesome pics! That mirror mosaic is beautiful! Sounds like you and your sister savor the gift of each other!
Love that bathroom, Angela. So cheerful!
Beautiful room!!!
Love it when people are not afraid of color!
I am from Chicago and have sooooo many great memories that I love in the city- from taking walks along the lakefront to going on an citywide scavenger hunt for my wedding proposal. There are always things to do and great places to people watch. This is a pic of my daughter as I tried to keep her entertained while shopping somewhere around town. I call it her celebrity pic where we are hiding from the paparazzi ;)
Attached image:
Those are the best glasses ever.
This is a great picture and love the idea of sneaking around like you are famous and hiding!! Cool!
Chicago is a such a great city…and with such great food too! And yes, those glasses are the bomb.
Adorable! I grew up about 80 miles from Chicago. What a great city, indeed!!
This adorable. I love the idea of hiding like you are famous! Love the glasses and love the idea!!
She looks very famous!
Since moving to Stoughton in the spring, we’ve enjoyed getting to know our new hometown on our bike and on foot. This photo is from the bike path along the Yahara River. We keep finding new favorite places.
Attached image:
Beautiful! So many treasures to be found. Way to slow down and enjoy the scenery!
My family and I live in Sturtevant, WI. We love all the parks in our area. We have 4 that are walking distance from our house.
This is Petrified Springs near the campus of UW Parkside. It is a huge place with a dog park and running/biking trails.
Sounds wonderful, Jason! It’s such a blessing to have multiple parks to choose from! :)
I tried, uploading the photo from my phone. I think the image was too large and didn’t go up.
Here is the photo.
Attached image:
Parks are underrated and underused. Hooray for parks!
SWEET!
These two rescued boys bring us lots of joy. They are Teddy, 14, a black schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle) we adopted last year and Brady, 5, a bichon frise. They live in a constant state of possibly unwarranted celebration.
Attached image:
That last phrase is smile inducing… constant state of possibly unwarranted celebration… sounds like a lot of energy and fun!
What a pair of cuties!! This reminds me of when I was being supervised while student teaching for 3 year olds. At the beginning of the lesson I got them all excited and (too!) hyper about the activity. The feedback from the supervising teacher was that I did not NEED to get them excited. When you’re three you are excited about everything all of the time. :) Fun to have that energy around!
I have a beautiful picture of the front of my Church: St. Joseph in Edgerton. It is a night shot with the statue of St. Joseph lit up and then overhead is a full moon. I tried to download the picture for your enjoyment but I am not having any success. So open up those imaginations and see what I saw that night.
It looks absolutely beautiful!
Hi Father Dave!
What a beautiful image!! (P.S. If you want to email it to me, I can try to upload it for you! Email: kim@escapeadulthood.com)
This is a pond behind the house we bought from my parents. My brother build it for her. She passed away a few year’s ago, but I feel like she is with some mornings especially the day I caught the sun rays reflecting directly on the pond. She has eight children so she definitey could have benefited from the Escape Lab!
Attached image:
This is BEAUTIFUL!!
Wow!!
That is amazingly beautiful! What a cool way to go to fill your cup!
Debbie said it perfectly: WOW! Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven.
Lovely spot and full of memories. Awesome.
You captured the feelings!
That is an awesome pic… NICE!
It’s not where I live, but it is a picture I like of me “escaping” to a wine tasting in Napa Valley with my daughter and very good friend. We “escaped” from a conference we were attending for a few hours to enjoy ourselves. I’m in the middle.
Attached image:
Cheers!! :) Way to escape!
Napa Valley is my happy place!
Living in Ohio, I’m an avid OSU Buckeye fan. Here’s our #3 quarterback celebrating after winning the Big Ten Championship! Now we have even more to celebrate as we head to the National Championship in a few days! Go Bucks!
Attached image:
I love that picture. It looks like he’s having so much fun!
Me too. A big kid in a man’s body!
Great game! I am 30 minutes from Toledo, OH!
And congrats on the outcome of last night’s game!
Ah…childlike joy!
Is he doing a “snow angel” in the confetti?! LOVE!
O-H! Another Buckeye fan living in Tennessee!! GO BUCKS!
Last, but not least, my two Australian Shepherds, Molly & Hero bring a lot of joy to my life. The made friends with a ground hog a few weeks ago!
Attached image:
Beautiful puppies!!
Sweet!
One of my favorite items in my home is the clock that my younger brother and his son made me out of a tuna can and wire. It graces the wall above the Fairy of Lost Objects and across from the collection of wood wall flowers. The whole arrangement reminds me of spring regardless of the weather outside.
Attached image:
So creative!!
What a neat nook, Mary. Totally reminds me of spring, too!
What a special corner of your world! Makes me smile!
Love it.
One photo I was hoping to include was of me and two of my kiddos as we were climbing the incline at Manitou Springs, Colorado. I’m not sure my son was thrilled (it’s a challenging hike!), but the views from up there are amazing! Another photo was taken from our living room window…I am so grateful each morning I wake up and see the view of the mountains from our home in Highlands Ranch, CO. God is good! I’ll try again to upload, but I’ve sure enjoyed seeing everyone else’s :)
Mountains!!! I find them to be very sacred, indeed. Always a treat to witness their peaceful magnitude. (P.S. If you want to try to email me the pic, I can try to post it. kim@escapeadulthood.com)
This one is from a hike with two of my kiddos (at Manitou Springs).
Attached image:
Thanks for posting the pictures, Kim!
This one is taken at Red Rocks when my husband and I were at a Casting Crowns concert.
Attached image:
Love love Casting Crowns and if you go to stare at that during the concert how cool is that!!
This is a view I get to see every morning.
Attached image:
It makes me take a deep breath in just looking at the beauty. I always feel like I take deeper breaths whenever we visit family and friends in Colorado and take in those mountain views.
I am late to the show and tell but feeling pumped up and excited for Escape Lab so I am finally in gear. This is a photo (if I did it right) of the mountain behind my house. I am lucky enough to live at a camp. It comes with my awesome job of being a camp director. It is one of my favorite views in the world.
Attached image:
I bet that view looks beautiful every season!
What an amazing view! The campers are blessed to have YOU!!! :)
Sounds like a dream job!
WOW… View and get to be a Camp Director! MUST BE NICE, if it’s not one of your #mustbenice it should be! :)
One of our favorite family traditions is to do the Polar Bear Plunge at Barton Springs in Austin, Texas. This is our 5th year to do it. In fact, we did this for the first time New Year’s Day, 2011, after attending one of Jason’s talks during Advent, 2010. We did the Polar Bear Plunge that year to kick off our New Year’s Resolution to be more childlike, and we’ve been doing it ever since. The first picture is me after jumping in this New Year’s Day (temp of 33 degrees, which is very cold for Austin!). The second picture is of Barton Springs Pool, which is a cool 68 degrees year-round and is one of Austin’s most treasured landmarks.
Attached image:
I’m not sure how you do that…we stayed at a hotel for a few nights around Christmas and the pool was cold…probably 75 degrees…and I could barely handle it :)
What a cool tradition! VERY childlike of you!!! Way to go! I hope the plunge is followed by an extra large mug of hot chocolate!
That is probably the only thing that keeps the kids doing it with us every year ;-)
Kids will do ANYTHING for chocolate. (Confession: Me too! LOL!)
Could. Not. Do. That! Your stamina is admirable!
Oops…here’s the picture of Barton Springs.

What a neat local treasure! :)
I am so proud to live in Dallas because of the wonderful, humble and down to earth people that live here!
Attached image:
Alaina!
I’m so excited I get to share another experience with you! How have you been?
Angela
Jerry Jones take two.

LOL!
I kid, I kid :)
Actually I love Dallas’s crazy weather! And my sweet nieces!
Attached image:
Snow pants in Dallas?! LOVE the sunglasses! What cutie pies!
Soooooo Adorable!
The city I have lived in for the past 22 years always puts up a huge tree in the center of
the Main Street and has an annual tree lighting celebration to kick off the holiday season.
I love this tradition. I know it takes time and effort on the part of our city and the downtown
businesses to keep this event alive. It is a wonderful way to bring friends, family,
and community together to share in good will.
Attached image:
What a neat tradition!
That’s QUITE a tree. So neat to have this to look forward to as a community!
We moved to the Green Bay area about 3 years ago after 10 yrs in North Carolina. After moving to Green Bay and knowing no one, I committed to running more. That led to setting a goal of running my first half marathon. That first half marathon was the Cellcom right here in Green Bay. And my entire family was right there cheering me on! Over the course of the next year I met some other runners from Green Bay and few of them turned into incredible friendships and a great support system. I committed to my 2nd Cellcom but this time I wasn’t running it alone. I had a great running partner and friend. And once again my family was there at the finish line cheering me on. This picture is from that 2nd Cellcom. It represents so many things that make Green Bay great – a community that supports each other and such a great event, the people that welcome newcomers with open arms, a place where family can thrive together, and a place where someone can feel at home. I’m quite proud to be living here!
Attached image:
You gave me chills, Karen! What an accomplishment (twice!)! You go girl!
I moved to Michigan three years ago from South Carolina. I know about climate change. Great job on the marathons. I love the Green Bay area. Spent some time in Wausau.
Half marathon? I get winded after a half block. Kudos to you!!
This is my favorite room of our house, our living room where our family is able to spend time together. Pictured are my daughter Jaycee and our furry baby Nala on Christmas. I am not sure who was more excited Nala or Jaycee. They were both done with all of mom’s pictures and ready for opening presents.
Attached image:
What a pair of cuties! :) Thanks for sharing!!!
Adorable. Looks like they have the same expressions. :)
Sweet photo. Your furbaby looks very comfortable with your little daughter!
Welcome to the place I like to call the “Frozen Chosen”. I moved to Michigan three years ago with my husband and boy/girl twins. I am originally from South Carolina. I just returned from there yesterday from the holidays, hence why I am late to the show and tell. I have shared a couple of pictures. One from our beloved family farm in SC and one from snowy fun in Michigan from last winter (we live on Lake Erie and my kids were playing on the frozen lake). I am excited about the “Escape Lab”. I opened my box like a child on Christmas when I got home yesterday.
Attached image:
I cannot figure out how to get all pics in one post.
Attached image:
Here is my son’s snow pic.
Attached image:
What a great looking family! Also, glad you enjoyed opening your box…we grown-ups don’t often get to partake in that giddiness :)
You are one blessed lady!! :) Twins! LOVE the family pic!
Hi Everyone!
I completely forgot the treasure box was on its way so it was such a surprise to receive it yesterday, even more exciting given it came from so far away (I live in Sydney, Australia), I am really looking forward to start this next week! :)
Anyway, I thought that for my show and tell I would share the 3 things I like the most: food, beaches and games:
The food is a pizza that we made from scratch – it took a lot of – very fun – attempts to find the right technique and this was the first one that looked, and tasted, like a true Italian one! (I was born in Italy and actually only moved here 7 years ago so I have veery high expectations ;) ).
The beach is Noosa, where we recently spent a few days during the Christmas holidays, as it’s summer here now it’s quite a different view from the lovely photos of snow I have seen so far!
And the last one is just a shot of my glorious victory in one of my favourite games, Citadels. Board/card games are my current addictionm a good way to keep you young at heart :)
Attached image:
Noosa
Attached image:
One word: WOW!!!! Quite the piece of heaven. Can we come visit?!!!
Are you sure that isn’t just a postcard of some imaginary place?
Haha, I know! it’s unbelievable, and the best thing of all is that Australia has so many beautiful places like this one. Definitely worth visiting if you ever get the chance. I came here for a 6 months working holiday and never left!
Making homemade pizza (dough and all) from scratch is one of my goals for the year… looking at yours just motivated me… AND made me hungry :) The picture of the beach reminds me of fun memories and of the beauty of Australia from a visit to friends who were living there… it’s a nice mental break from the temps and snow here right now.
I can definitely share! The funny thing is that the recipe actually comes from a recipe book in English :) The most important things are to have the dough really wet and that you let it sit to rise for as long as you can (from a couple of hours to a whole day if you remember to prepare it the day before), that makes it all nice and full of air. Be careful not to squeeze out all the air when you prepare the pizzas and ensure that the oven is at the highest temperature it can reach. We also use a pizza stone that makes it cook real quick (5 minutes or less) and put more simple ingredients on top but that’s up to you! hope this can help you succeed in your goal, and look forward to see the results!
Attached image:
Melissa, I would LOVE to try out this recipe! I’m not an expert baker though — what do you mean by, if baking on the same day proof for one hour? :) Thank you for sharing! :)
That’s great news, I am so excited to be able to share our recipe :)
You don’t have to be an expert baker at all!
What you need to do is to assemble the ingredients (which are simply water, salt, flour and yeast) and them leave them to rest before you actually make your pizzas to allow it to rise and become fluffy when it cooks. 2 hours will do if you don’t have much time but you can also prepare the dough a day in advance and let it rest until the next day. did I answer your question?
YAY!!!! Thank you, Melissa!!
THANK YOU! Again, I am hungry just looking at the pic, but still totally inspired. I will be trying this very soon!
That pizza looks amazing. How did you make the dough? Family secret or can you share? MMM.
Game
Attached image:
Although I’m not familiar with the game pictured here, I do love playing games with my family – and sometimes at work during my lunch hour, I’ll play double-deck pinochle with other card sharks. We have so much fun, but we’re not often smiled upon by the administration.
Come on admin!! Don’t they know that this “break” from the norm will make ya’ll more productive and happy. They must not have been in the audience when Jason came to speak… ;)
They have SERIOUS cases of adultitis!
Super fun! Looks like you’re outdoors again too. Congrats on your victory!
I just read about a concept called Hygge in Denmark…a “warm sense of coziness or togetherness,” especially through long, dark winters…it can be cultivated in different ways, like warm candlelight, food/drink, time with family & friends, etc. I love this idea of creating warmth as we stare down another cold Midwestern winter. Two of my favorite hygge sources are pictured here! Love nothing more on a cold night than a crackling fire with my kitty…only pieces missing from this pic are the hubs and a glass of red wine. ;)
Attached image:
Comfort, right there!
LOVE this! Thanks for the new word too, Sarah. What a refreshing way to embrace this time of year, versus curse it.
If I can’t be on the beach pictured in Melissa’s comment above, this would be a close second.
I tried to upload a photo, but not sure if it worked. If it did, this is a view of our backyard. It is hard to tell with the snow, but there is a small pond and then a small lake with a walking trail around it. You can also see the pine trees which I love because I can enjoy then, but they aren’t on our property so we can still see the sub set out our back windows. Sometimes deer bed down in the tall grasses under the pines! My little slice of heaven!
I’m hoping this will work – I guess my first try at uploading the photo didn’t work because the file was too big. I changed that, so I hope it works this time!!
Attached image:
Here is one of those beautiful sunsets!
Attached image:
Rachel, WOW! Are you opening up a B&B anytime soon? What a blessing to have such a beautiful sanctuary to call home! I’m a sucker for amazing sunsets!
I’ve tried many times on many different days to upload a photo, but every one of mine are too big. One of my favorite things about where I live are the birds my backyard attracts. I get all varieties of woodpeckers, grosbeaks, chickadees, blue jays, orioles, goldfinches, hummingbirds, and cardinals. My favorite is the cardinal! Imagine a picture of my cardinal right here ——> _______. Isn’t it beautiful?! :)
Amy – Not sure what system you are working with, but I have a Mac and going from Iphoto, you can export your image to a different location (desktop, etc.) and it gives you an option to change the size. Once I changed mine to low – they uploaded fine.
Thanks for this tip, Rachel!! :)
I’m picturing that red cardinal! Sounds like a great place to escape! (If you want to email it to me, I can try to upload it for ya. email: kim@escapeadulthood.com)
Rachel, thank you! I also have a Mac — I will keep that in mind for future photos!
Hi! I am from DePere, WI. I am a little late at Show and Tell but that is how unorganized I have been lately. The picture I wanted to upload but for some reason can not is of my son and a birthday cake that I made him. To me the most important thing from my home is my family and the time that I spend with them. I love coming up with new ideas every year and themes for my son’s birthday. It warms my heart to see him so excited over the planning that we do together.
I am looking forward to leaving some adult behind and releasing the inner child and fun!
Sally, sounds like you are savoring these special birthdays. YAY! He’ll remember these moments forever! Glad you’re joining in on this adventure! (If you want to email it to me, I can try to upload it for ya. email: kim@escapeadulthood.com)
We live near the mountains and the Ocoee River… This is a picture of my oldest daughter and I rafting her first trip and my umpteen time! I love Tenessee and all of the area surrounding that we can go… Come for a busy the rafting is awesome!!
Not sure why this did not upload from my phone, but here is the pic!! :)
Attached image:
So as I said we live in Tennessee and we love it! We moved here 6 years ago and love the mountains and all of the outdoor activities! We also love that we are only 2 hours from Nashville, Atlanta and 1 hour from Knoxville… There are so many options!
I had the opportunity to share rafting with my daughter and it was a great experience… I was guide when I was in college and it was great to share this time with her!
BTW: I got my treasure box and was excited… only to find that most of it remains a surprise! I can’t wait and looking forward to this adventure!
Concerning the
We moved from Ohio and well, let’s just say we love Tennessee! :-)
I am only slow to the show and tell due to my procrastination. :-( I wanted to ensure I had the perfect picture!
Okay Ron, you are quite the salesman. Where you live sounds AMAZING!!! What an amazing opportunity to be able to raft and also be near all of those neat hot spots. What a find! Here’s to LOVING where you live!
Oh what fun, Ron! I’ve never done this, but I can only imagine the rush of adrenaline and the extreme possibility of peeing my pants a little.
The best part Jason is that no one knows!! So no worries when you come to Hell’s Hole!! :) If you ever come to TN I’ll treat you to a trip down the river!
This is an aerial image of Norse Park, home of the Stoughton Merchants. MY husband plays for this baseball team. Little did I know that when I met him in June 2010 that I would be marrying him in September 2013. Attached are photos of the first day that we met. I’m proud of this baseball field for the family and friends that it brings together whenever our team plays.
Attached image:
What a cool pic! We have a pic of the first night Jason and I met too… a group shot (Christmas caroling). Not many people have this sort of photo. Pretty cool!!!
Heres the baseball field.
Attached image:
I played baseball in high school, and this picture gives me happy memories. The baseball field was my home away from home for many years…particularly the second base position. :)
Jason still likes getting to second base! *wink*
Cool shot!
Me and my crazy cat Boots.
My daughter Alexis as a skeleton (we love all the photo apps).
My son Aiden celebrating Gma’s birthday.
No adultitis around here! :)
Fun crew!!! :)
Trying one photo at a time captions above.
Attached image:
Here you go, Wendy!
Attached image:
P.S. I didn’t realize you had a zombie for a daughter. I bet that makes things interesting. :)
Thought I would share a pic of my family at another one of our favorite places – Dollywood!
Attached image:
Good looking family, Ron. But where is Dolly?
The family selfie. Love it!
This is a photo of my daughter that happens to have a birthday around the holidays. I am so happy that she is so happy. Despite the craziness of the holidays we were able to carve out time for a Happy Birthday sing-along!
Attached image:
Happy 6th! Our Lucy just turned 6 around the holidays also! What a sweet smile!
This sign is one that my daughter and I enjoy when we go walking in the summer…not sure if I should be proud or worried, but it is definitely worth a laugh every time!
Attached image:
I am a sucker for funny signs- LOVE this one! I would chuckle every time I walked by.
Hilarious! :) Seems like a funny children’s book could be written about the reason for that sign.
Hello Everyone–
So excited to start this journey with you all! My show and tell photo is of my son showing his Packer pride. Today is an exciting day to be from Green Bay, Wisconsin after yesterday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys. Go Pack go!!!
–Teri

So glad you are joining us on this adventure, Teri! What kid doesn’t LONG for a ginormous hand like that. SO fun!! I bet there was a LOT of green and gold worn today in celebration!!
This is a small house in my community purchased and undergoing renovations in order to be offered as housing for Central American refugees once they have been released from detention, while they wait for their paperwork to be processed. I am so proud to live in a town with so many giving people, and I wish instead of just showing the house (white is before, blue is after) I could show all the people who have been cleaning and painting and fixing for the last four months.

This just makes me smile! Your collective labor of love is an inspiration.
I love Halloween…always have and always will. But, there were many years when I didn’t indulge in the fun of it. Here are my kiddos who would humor me by letting me dress and make them up. They also don’t mind if I tag along in a costume.

A family that costumes together stays together- that’s what I always say! :) LOVE!
Hi, Y’all. Late to Show and Tell, but then again, things run at more relaxed pace here in the South. It stays relatively (to Wisconsin) warm enough to do most things all year long, so we don’t rush. I live in Conway, Arkansas and one of the things I am most proud of is our community spirit and how we take care of one another. The following picture is one such example. It is a group of ladies showing our love for one of our running mom’s. Her daughter (our fellow runner) was tragically killed in a hit and run accident this summer and we rallied with t-shirts to honor her at our annual Soaringr Wings Half Marathon in October. The event raises money for a local, not-for-profit, community supported home for kids who are waiting for adoption. The Soaring Wings Ranch houses over 30 kids (many are sibling groups that may otherwise be split up into different foster homes) in a loving and uplifting home environment. The event raises a ton of money to keep The Ranch in business. Lauren wanted to participate, but sadly left us before her time. It was awesome to have her friends and family cheer us as we ran past. We’ll see if the pics load…fingers crossed.
It’s on my next comment. Crazy…
Hi there! My second daughter (Lily) was born December 5 and I have been immersed in all things baby. So, it seems appropriate to use a photo of the baby with her 3 yo sister (Abby) as my show and tell. Perhaps I am crazy to try to do the Escape Lab with an infant and a toddler in the house, but I am super excited to try. It’s time for some play!

I think doing the Escape Lab is requirement for a mom with a new baby, Kate! Good for you for taking some time for you!
P.S. Congrats!
P.S..S. Love the name Lily.
I’m putting myself in your shoes, Kate. Just three years ago at this VERY same (challenging) time of year I had a 1 month old and a 3 year old. It’s a VERY draining time of your life – someone always needs you – at ANY given hour or minute of the day. It’s VERY easy to stop taking care of yourself. My hope for you is that this Escape Lab serves as an easy way to fill your cup so that be recharged for these two beauties! Congrats, friend!!
Maybe this time the group photo will load?

WOW. What a team and an inspiring example of the collective power of the human spirit. That ranch sounds amazing!
This is my precious bundle of joy.

What’s the pooch’s name?
Hi Pup!!! :) Looks like a sweetie!
I’m quite an animal lover, so this experience of being “up close and personal” with tigers in Thailand was exhilarating! They told us that the tigers love to have their bellies rubbed, and sure enough they do!

AMAZING!!! I cannot imagine being that close to such a strong animal. What an experience!
It was pretty incredible, Kim!
One thing on my bucket list is to pet a tiger. That looks like an awesome experience!
It really was, Cristy. I hope you get to do it too!
THAT is amazing, Katherine! When we humans share a moment like that with a wild animal, I truly believe we are in the presence of our Creator. Only through Him are those amazing creatures – and us – possible! What an incredible life experience for you!
