…I like maintaining my girlish figure better.
Kudos (I think) to Joey Chestnut, who downed 47 grilled cheese sandwiches in ten minutes to set a new world record — eleven more than the old record of 36. Impressive. I can’t help but be giddy with wild anticipation for the chicken nugget eating contest.
It reminds me of a post from Stinky about the five food groups of childhood:
I do know that there are five official food groups for children: excessively processed meat (see hot dogs, chicken nuggets), things consisting mostly of cheese (grilled cheese, mac and cheese, cheese pizza), ice cream, candy, and ketchup.
It also reminds me that we have a neat new book at The Lemonade Stand called Grilled Cheese: 50 Recipes to Make You Melt. It’s “oozing with cheese suggestions, an array of quick-to-make mustards, and tips on choosing the perfect bread for each sandwich.”
Fifty different recipes for grilled cheese. Three more than even Joey Chestnut can handle.
