What if you could have one day each week with your family to just be lazy, crazy and rejuvenate together (whatever that looks like for you) — would you take it?
Well, you can and should be!!
As a family, we have been protecting and savoring our weekly Sabbath (and it’s not always on Sunday) for over two years now and I have to say it’s consistently my favorite day of the week. There seems to be some common denominators for us: church, naps for everyone, ice cream, family movie, and usually a walk or trip to a lake.
It’s the best because we have permission to be together without accomplishing anything productive (by the world’s standards). What we do consistently accomplish is making memories that will last our lifetimes.
Here’s a quick peek into a recent “scene” I captured on our day of rest:
Don’t wait until you “get” a free day together…create them…then protect them.
You’ll never regret it.
What do you like to do on your days off the world’s hamster wheel?
