Well, I do respect your title and your topic, but, well, let’s just say my name is highlighted (if that’s what happens on this page) for a relevant reason.

Such a belly! You can probably guess my position on circumcision :)
Anyway, did want to grin and mention that when Girl was in utero, we called her Airplane Baby, which was picked out by Boy, age nearly-4. Only problem was, when Girl was born, Boy was perplexed and upset when we gave her a different name! He totally thought her name was Airplane Baby. We ended up telling him that her name could be A.B. and he could call her that as long as he wanted, but in case she wanted to be taken seriously as a professional in her adulthood, we would put a more traditional name on her birth certificate. It worked!

Do you feel like you are relearning everything? It’s like we learned that things should be this way at a young age, not really realizing why or that we still have a choice in it.
I’ve been considering cloth diapers, and I feel like I need to justify my explorations with some explanation for myself. Point blank, I’m curious. And I don’t want to be bullied out of it!

That is an Extremely difficult decision. If you decide to circumcise please make sure your care provider is one who gives the baby pain medicine during and after the procedure.

I love and share your openness to challenge, Kim. And you’re right, I treasure the friendships I am privileged with, where we are accepting, supportive AND constructively challenging. Being mindful and receptive to ”think” with a new perspective offers such room to grow. Hope all is well in ”boom” land!
