When it comes to the blogosphere, an Adultitis Antidote is a blog exhibiting a childlike spirit that helps counteract the effects of Adultitis by using honesty, curiosity, passion and playfulness to encourage its readers to delight in the little things, dream big, and stress less.
We are scouring the web for the cream of the crop and will be posting them right here, all in one place. We’re not sure how many we’ll find before the year is up, but we will guarantee this: the blogs that make the list will be fun, and really, really good. Rest assured, this is not just some willy nilly list of half-baked blogs. If you or someone you know is struggling with a mild or even extreme case of Adultitis, these blogs are great treatment options. The blogosphere is a big place, so if you know of a blog that we missed, let us know and we’ll consider adding it here. Enjoy!

Thanks so much, Jason and Kim. What a lovely gift for a Friday morning! I love the idea of being an adultitis antidote. And of course I believe that reading children’s books can help anyone to rekindle their childhood spirit. Thanks for making my day!

Our pleasure, Jen! Keep up the great work! (Oh yeah, any new readers might be interested in listening to an interview we did with Jen a while back. Check it out here: Balancing Adulthood Responsibility and Childlike Fun)

OhmyGOSH! I’m all flustered, really and for truly! Being told that I don’t take myself too seriously is a high compliment. I’m relieved to know that it shows. Thanks SO much guys. I love it.

Now that I think about it…it was my recipe for Tater Tot casseroled that pushed me over the top, isn’t it?
Jason says
We’ve got nothing but love for Tater Tot casserole, but your blog stands on its own, Jules.
Rocks In My Dryer says
Wow! What a nice honor! Thank you so much.
Asha says
Thank you so much for the honor. I’d be lying if I didn’t wish for someone to tuck me in, turn on Brady Bunch, and feed me a baloney and cheese sandwich (on white bread with mayo) every now and then. We all need a break from adulthood!
french toast girl says
Oh, WOW, you guys! I am totally honored! I promise to continue to fight Adultitis and foster feelings of silliness, playfulness, and general all-around paint-splashing to the best of my abilities. ♥
Martha Garvey says
French Toast Girl rules. Thanks for the great list. So many to explore!
David Stoddard says
Hi Guys.
I love what you are doing. Just by reading this post, I have started changing the focus of my blog as well. A minor redesign here and there, thoughts of what to make of it and expand it are floating in my mind like when doing those circles on Spyrograph years ago wondering just what it would look like.
Thank you for the inspiration once again.
Jean Browman--Cheerful Monk says
How about adding Shirley’s two blogs to your list:
“Don’t forget to stop by my blogs for a smile and a little fun:
http://brightdays.wordpress.com/
http://www.funspirit.blogspot.com/”
I just sent this in an e-mail, too. Her posts are spirit-lifters.
Jason says
Good call, Jean. Your blog is not to shabby either ;)
We’ve added yours and Shirley’s blog to the list!
Jean Browman--Cheerful Monk says

Hi, I followed a link here from NieNie’s blog. I am delighted by your list and the whole purpose of your blog. I’m so glad to have found you! I predict I will be a frequent visitor. Maybe what you’re up to will help me shake my own recurring case of Adultitis. Thanks a mill.
Brandi says
Sorry, I couldn’t get your email link to open up so I have to post my recommendation here. Please consider the blog, Don’t Try This At Home @ http://www.donttryit.com/justdont/
I find her snarky irreverent attitude refreshing and I hope you do too!
