Funny you should mention eating off the table. Yesterday at work, my neighbor shared some popcorn with me. Since I needed both hands to do my work, I put my popcorn on my desk and ate it off the table. I thought the timing was hilarious.
That also reminded me of The Crab Pot, a restaurant that serves seafood. Their specialty is mixed shellfish (I forget the official title of the dish)…and they just dump a huge load of clams, mussels, oysters, etc. on the table for your enjoyment. (I didn’t cringe about eating off the table, but the idea of celery Jell-O did make me cringe. Yuck!)
The mention of Thomas Jefferson reminded me of something I learned about him this week. According to Wikipedia, he wrote some letters in Pig Latin. (That’s in their page on Pig Latin.) If that isn’t ildchay-ikelay, I don’t know what is. :-)

Jasons comment about his mom making jello reminded me of when his favorite Aunt Julie used to make us jello. Only we called them knox blocks…not sure what the difference is or how they are made differently but they were a bit firmer than regular jello. Anyway I remember once after stealing a bunch of knox blocks from the fridge my brothers had “block races” by throwing the knox blocks on the wall in their room and the first one to slide down won…..needless to say it was a long time before Aunt Julie allowed them to have knox blocks again :)
