The Duke University Medical Center published a report confirming that stress management actually appears to reduce the long-term chances of heart patients having another “cardiac event.” To which we say, “No duh.” We didn’t need to conduct a study to come up with our prescription for this week’s show, in which we share 8 fun ways to cancel your cardiac event.

Dear Kin and Jason: My heart has usually been resiliant, but it is now broken. My 11 year old Asperger grandson has been on drugs all his life and Risperdal for 3-1/2. He suffers incredible side effects which make his life a misery and could kill him. The drug company and the FDA say the treatment should stop, but the boy’s mother, a parent coordinator, and the psychiatrist keep him on it. Child Protective Services will do nothing and I am “harming the family” with my complaints about his treatment. His father, my son, also Asperger, can do nothing (parents are divorced and share custody, but the parent coordinator does everything the mother wants and has the authority to do so). They threaten me with court action and want to end my right to be with him and his 13 year old sister. I’ve decided not to see them any more as it’s just too painful. I fear it would give me a real heart attack. Toni

Toni, So sorry to hear about your situation. How truly heartbreaking! Please know that Kim and I will pray that everything works out somehow, and I’m sure that everyone who is in Kim & Jason Nation and reads your comment will also keep you in their thoughts and prayers

Brilliant show! One thing I did notice, though was that Gil said something about how work is work and play is play. (I may not have quite gotten the quote right. I was watching Lucy.) To that, I say he can speak for himself. My work is play. :-)
I noticed an oversight that’s been fairly consistent in the past several shows…the label at the beginning says “Kim & Jason Kotecki” (Well, the April Fool’s Day episode said “Jim & Kason Kotecki” if I remember right). No mention of Lucy? How can the star of the show not be mentioned? She pretty much stole the show in this episode.
I wish I could make it to the Laugh Flash. Maybe someday if I live closer and you have another one…
Toni, I will be praying too. That’s crazy.
