I love working on my life list. Do you have one?
It’s a compilation of the things you wish to experience, accomplish, and/or attain (a.k.a. your dreams). I wrote my first official LL about 4-5 years ago. It’s been neat seeing how many things have been checked off since then.
Here are a few of the highlights…
1- I’ve visited Boston in the fall.
2- I have seen the pandas in the San Diego Zoo.
3- I have toured Washington D.C.
4- I drink 8 glasses of water everyday.
It’s also exciting to see the ones that are about to happen very soon…
1- I have enjoyed the magnitude of the Grand Canyon. I especially enjoyed riding a horse in the Grand Canyon. (September)
2- The JBiRD iNK corporate office is a unique space that is fun, trendy and energetic. (August)
3- I read for an hour everyday and watch no more than four hours of TV each week. (currently making this a habit)
4- I exercise for 20 minutes everyday- no excuses. (currently making this a habit)
What’s even more fun is visioning and reading over the things on the list that may take a bit longer to accomplish…
1. I own a pontoon boat and enjoy leisurely afternoons on the lake with my family.
2. I have been on an African safari.
3. The Kim & Jason Make-A-Wish Benefit raises over $100,000 a year.
4. Jason and I have been guests on the Oprah show.
I checked something off of my LL last week while in Door County, WI.

It was even cooler than I had imagined! There is something exhilarating about accomplishing something on your LL. It’s a rush! You’ll see my enthusiasm up close in a future episode of Escape Plan TV: Door County.
So, what are you waiting for?
It’s time to take the steps necessary to make a LL, and if you already have one then it’s time to update it. As Jason and I talked about during our most recent podcast, only 1% of all people write down their goals. Writing your goals down creates a subconscious accountability. There is a direct link between accomplishing your goals and having them written down.
You need to start writing them down.
It is a prerequisite to accomplishing your dreams. If you need a head start, check out a few websites that encourage life lists: 43 Things, Super Viva, and Life Tango.

That’s quite a list Kim. Thanks for sharing it and inspiring me with it! I’ll have to think of MY list soon too. Nice pottery project too! What color did you make it in the end?

Kim,
I’ve been privileged to see the “official” LL. You are a constant inspiration (still on the treadmill every day). We talked about something similar at our Mary Kay Girls Night Out event – goal poster. It was said that 90% of the population doesn’t even know about goal posters. Yet 80% of what is on a goal poster eventually happens. Cool, huh?

I am inspired to write down my life list in one place now… I have so many fragmented lists in so many places… I think it’s a great idea to collect them.
I did buy a book once called “2,001 Things to Do Before You Die,” and was THRILLED to check off right away some amazing things that I had forgotten I’d done.

magnificent submit, very informative. I’m wondering why the other specialists of this sector do not realize this. You must proceed your writing. I am confident, you have a great readers’ base already!
