The last several weeks, I’ve been writing a lot about the problems many modern families face as they struggle to create memories with the people they love amidst the busyness of life. I’ve talked about those moments in which even when your family is together, they’re not really together. I’ve pointed out that a lack of money or time or creativity are just simple hurdles that can be easily overcome. And that what most people need is a reminder and an idea.
And I’ve been explaining how all of these issues inspired our newest product, almost two years in the making, that’s set to be released on April 28th.
We consider The Kim & Jason Guide to Cheap Family Fun to be quite possibly the most important thing we’ve done so far.
But one thing I’ve not really gotten into is just how much FUN we had making it. I assembled a little video with an assortment of outtakes that occurred during the filming. We were going to save it as a “bonus” feature for people who bought the product, but then we thought it could serve as a neat little window into the creative process and shed some light on how much fun we had with it. So without further ado…
We certainly spent a lot of time thinking, planning, writing, editing, and shooting the videos for Cheap Family Fun. But if you have half as much fun as we had in the making of it, we’ll have accomplished our goal.
And your family will never be the same.
It’s coming soon, and we can’t wait. Stay tuned.

I am enjoying reading your books…I plan to keep them on the daily read for some time…til I have read them a couple times. They aren’t ones I plan to move off the shelf for some time. It has validated that my profession…allows me to be a five year old everyday.
And it is a happy read rather than the drudge of reading the newspaper that only lists the down side of living.
Hope you got the quilt that I sent.
Thanks for making a difference in my life. My childhood wasn’t one with toys and fun trips or investment in me…but I have been able to make changes in my life by how I spent time with my children. they have happy memories. Sometimes reading the books have been challenging in that when I was being raised…my happiness wasn’t a priority for the adults in my life. It was about being a part of a work force ….and that was from the age of 5. Fun was not something that was important. And today…fun is hard work…but the books remind me to build it in.
